Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Gadsden, AL | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during night shift hours
• Manage a patient assignment with a ratio of up to 6 patients to 1 nurse
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately within the facility's EMR system
• Adhere to unit protocols, infection control standards, and facility policies throughout each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Alabama RN License required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
