Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced Medical Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Float to other units within the facility as needed based on departmental staffing requirements
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation — candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• In the event of an emergency, may be assigned to an emergency response team and expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve as part of a relief team; specific details will be communicated per event
• Complete required facility modules during orientation, which are recorded and factored into orientation hours

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current NURSYS report required — must be dated within 4 weeks of submission date
• Two Manager or Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references are not acceptable); references must be submitted in PDF format
• Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file on your driver's license to the facility address) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in high-acuity Medical Surgical environments with adult and geriatric populations
• Familiarity with emergency response protocols in a hospital setting
• Strong adaptability and willingness to float across units as needed
