Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• Manage and treat common ED presentations including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis-related conditions, and hypertension
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, adjusting as needed based on patient acuity
• Operate GE monitoring equipment and standard ED equipment in accordance with department protocols
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Float to like assignments as required; every other weekend availability expected

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Associate of Nursing degree or higher
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EHR strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with a positive, engaged attitude
• Experience caring for a broad patient population including pediatric and geriatric patients
