Schedule / Job TypeContract | 16 Weeks | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 accepted | Rotating Night/Evening Shifts (19:00–07:30 / 15:00–03:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, with the possibility of up to 1:5 with lower-acuity patients
- Assess and care for patients presenting with a wide variety of complex, multi-system diagnoses
- Float within the ED specialty and to sister ED facilities as needed
- Adhere to department scheduling needs, with the primary need currently on night shift; rotation to evening shift may occur based on departmental requirements
- Complete required compliance modules and onboarding requirements prior to start date
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
- BLS certification – American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
- PALS certification – American Heart Association only
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor; may be completed during onboarding)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- NRP certification (NRP or AAP accepted)
- TNCC certification
- Experience with complex, multi-system diagnoses in a high-acuity ED environment

- Expected schedule of 36–48 hours per week with rotating shift options in a well-supported emergency department
