Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Location

Flowood, MS | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, alternating weekends) | 8-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in an acute care setting
• Manage a patient assignment at a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Document and manage patient records using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility protocols, policies, and infection control standards during night shift hours

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Mississippi
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and facility workflows
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
