Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
• Float as needed between the Med Surg Telemetry Unit (MTSU), Cardio-Pulmonary Step-Down Unit (CPSU), Special Progressive Care Unit, and Cardiac Observation Unit
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and insulin drips per protocol
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Cardiac drip and insulin drip experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a step-down or progressive care unit setting
• Familiarity with cardiac observation protocols and monitoring
