Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Expected 40 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within a busy OR environment handling approximately 30–35 cases per week
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including the DaVinci X Robot and Stryker systems
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Participate in self-scheduling, including 1 weekday call per week and 1 weekend call within every 4-week period
• Float occasionally to other areas such as linen services or med/surg as a sitter following facility training
• Adhere to all facility onboarding, compliance, and mandatory reporting requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; Iowa licensure or eligibility required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an acute care OR setting
• C-Section experience required
• Must complete Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) — no instant or statewide searches accepted; all background checks must be fully cleared prior to start
• Mandatory Reporter certification required (Child and Adult); 10-panel drug screen including opiates required; titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be within the last 12 months
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Robotic surgery experience, particularly with the DaVinci X system
• Interest in expanding robotic surgery skills and cross-training opportunities
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR
