Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Location

Chattanooga, TN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend and holiday rotation | Projected Start: October 5, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Perform IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and lab draws
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including telemetry management
• Operate unit equipment including wound vacs, heparin drips, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanners, feeding pumps, and suction devices
• Document patient care using the Editech documentation system
• Float between designated units as needed per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Proficiency in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Ability to adhere to navy scrub dress code (no fleece or sweatshirts)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Editech or similar electronic documentation systems
• Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an acute care setting
