Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with standards of care, standards of practice, protocols, and established policies and procedures
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely per physician orders, protocols, and policies; perform medication reconciliation documentation
• Assess and reassess patient pain levels using the numerical pain scale; utilize pain management devices and techniques to ensure appropriate pain relief
• Interpret and document cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration; evaluate and take appropriate action for patients presenting with chest pain or cardiac-related symptoms
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care; provide timely and thorough handoff reports to health care team members
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot surgical patient equipment including traction/orthopedic devices, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and drains

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Massachusetts RN License required
• ACLS certification required upon hire
• MOAB class required within 60 days of hire
• Previous telemetry experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Experience with surgical patient care including orthopedic equipment, chest tubes, and related devices
