Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Block scheduling considered | 36/48 or 48-hour contracts considered | Shorter contracts (under 16 weeks) considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed critical care unit serving a diverse patient population
• Care for patients with conditions including cardiac diagnoses, post-angioplasty recovery, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, and complex surgical cases
• Care for COVID-positive patients, who may represent up to approximately 50% of the unit census at any given time
• Maintain infection control standards and adhere to facility protocols, including no artificial/false nails policy
• Floating outside of the ICU is not anticipated but may occur on rare occasions

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of West Virginia or a compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Ability and willingness to care for COVID-positive patients
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• A copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license is required with all submissions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac patients, including post-angioplasty care
• Familiarity with sepsis protocols and management of complex surgical patients
• EPIC EMR experience preferred, though candidates without EPIC experience will be considered
