Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an emergency medicine physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment supporting a hospital/urgent care environment in Portage, WI. This role involves managing emergency patients with a team of APs and utilizing advanced telemedicine programs, including Telestroke and Tele ICU services, in a hospital-based setting close to major tourist destinations.

• Coverage: 11/25-11/27, Days, 6:00 am – 6:30 pm

Schedule Details

• Shift: Day, 6:00 am – 6:30 pm

Clinical Scope

• Manage emergency patients in a hospital/urgent care environment
• Support telemedicine programs such as Telestroke and Tele ICU
• Collaborate with hospitalist team, APCs, and specialty services
• Provide care during day shifts from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm
• Support includes general surgery, orthopedics, and hospitalist coverage

Practice Environment
Located approximately 30 minutes from Madison and 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells, WI, this ED staffed with two APCs benefits from hospital support including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Hospitalist team, Telestroke, Tele ICU, and UW helicopter. The environment emphasizes collaboration and the use of telemedicine to enhance patient care.

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin medical license
• MD degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in emergency medicine
