High-Volume Restaurant Phone & Order Specialist

Imagine several phone lines ringing simultaneously, a constant stream of incoming orders, and a busy kitchen preparing food. We need someone who can confidently manage that environment, keep orders accurate, and make every customer feel valued.

This is not an entry-level receptionist position. We're looking for someone who genuinely thrives in high-volume restaurant operations.

About the Position

Healthy Fresh is seeking an experienced, energetic, and exceptionally organized Phone & Order Specialist to handle an extremely high volume of incoming restaurant calls at our Morris Park location.

This is a dedicated phone position. During our busiest hours, your sole priority will be answering incoming calls, accurately taking customer orders, and keeping our phone ordering operations running efficiently.

We're looking for someone who can confidently handle multiple ringing phone lines, switch between calls, enter orders quickly and accurately, and provide excellent customer service—even when the restaurant is operating at full capacity.

As the position develops, you will also assist with catering inquiries, customer follow-ups, emails, and invoicing.

High-Volume Phone & Order Management

• Answer multiple incoming phone lines efficiently during peak restaurant hours.
• Take a high volume of pickup and delivery orders while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
• Enter orders into the POS system, carefully verifying items, modifications, special instructions, and customer information.
• Manage multiple calls and competing priorities without becoming overwhelmed.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation.
• Handle customer questions, order changes, and complaints professionally.
• Maintain a friendly, welcoming attitude, even during the busiest periods.

Secondary Responsibilities — Catering & Customer Relations

As you become established in the position, additional responsibilities will include coordinating incoming catering inquiries, following up with customers, preparing invoices, responding to emails, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

During peak restaurant hours, regular phone orders will always take priority.

Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant or similarly demanding phone-order environment is required.

• Is comfortable communicating in English; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years or older
• Restaurant front of house skills: serving in fast casual
• Restaurant front of house skills: point of sale (POS) operation
• Retail skills: point of sale (POS) operation
• Retail skills: customer service
• Retail skills: addressing customer complaints
• Management skills: resolving customer complaints
• Comfortable handling customer complaints

Preferred qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the food & restaurant industry
• At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Valid driver's license
