CNC setup and operation

About the job Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Class A Machinist to join our team! Someone skilled with strong knowledge of machining practices, the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications, and a commitment to producing high-quality, precision work. Responsibilities: • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment to manufacture precision components • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and work instructions • Perform machine setups, including selection and installation of appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding • Verify programs, tooling, offsets, and setup requirements prior to machining • Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet drawing and customer requirements • Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other inspection tools • Maintain close tolerances and consistently produce parts that meet quality requirements • Identify machining or quality issues and communicate concerns to supervision and Quality Assurance • Complete required job travelers, inspection documentation, and other production records accurately • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition • Follow company quality procedures, safety requirements, and applicable customer requirements • Assist and provide guidance to less-experienced machinists when needed Qualifications: • Previous experience as a Class A, Senior, or highly experienced Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment • Strong CNC machining and setup experience • Ability to independently set up and operate machining equipment • Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and tooling selection • Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and specifications • Working knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerances • Proficient with precision measuring and inspection equipment • Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
