About this job
Job Description
Join Flextrades for a 3–6 month assignment in Connecticut as a Progressive Stamping Die Repair Specialist. You’ll be the go-to expert keeping complex progressive tooling running safely, accurately, and on schedule.
What a Day Might Look LikeYou start by reviewing a progressive strip to pinpoint where a form, pierce, or cutoff is drifting. A quick diagnosis leads you to pull the die, inspect components, and execute adjustments or repairs. By mid-morning, you’re supporting a setup on a 60–330 ton press, verifying first-off quality, and fine-tuning to meet spec. In the afternoon, you collaborate with operators on changeovers, lift and move tooling using overhead cranes and forklifts, and document your work to ISO expectations. Throughout, you apply your knowledge of Wintriss controls to keep production humming.
