A leading General Contractor specializing in water and wastewater construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their growing team in Central Florida.

This position will oversee day-to-day field operations on large-scale water/wastewater treatment projects, coordinating subcontractors, field personnel, schedules, safety, quality, and overall project execution from mobilization through completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on large-scale water/wastewater treatment projects
• Manage subcontractors, trade partners, vendors, and field personnel
• Coordinate project schedules, sequencing, manpower, and daily work activities
• Maintain accountability for project safety, quality, schedule, and production
• Coordinate with Project Managers, owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Identify and resolve field issues and conflicts before they impact schedule or budget
• Conduct and participate in project coordination and progress meetings
• Monitor material deliveries, equipment, manpower, and site logistics
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
• Assist with project startup, commissioning, testing, and closeout
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to field teams

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial/heavy construction experience
• Significant experience with water/wastewater treatment plant construction
• Proven experience as a Superintendent managing large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination
• Experience working with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality control, and project documentation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with project scheduling and construction management software preferred
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed
• Willingness to be assigned to a project site for an extended period when required
