About this job
Job Description
Location: Crestwood, MO
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $20.00–$35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
A day in your new roleIt’s the start of your shift in Crestwood. You pull the print, call up the program, and verify your offsets. You load the right tools, fixtures, and bar or billet, then make that first-piece inspection before the run kicks off. When the measurements check out, you let the cycle run and keep a close eye on surface finish, chip control, and tolerance. If something drifts, you dial in an offset, swap a tool, or make a minor on-machine edit to bring it back in spec. Throughout the day, you’ll move from setup to production, troubleshoot any quality or machining hiccups, and keep your work area organized and safe.
Machines and processes you may touch- CNC mills and CNC lathes (including HMCs and VMCs)
- Swiss-style CNC and screw machining (including Tsugami platforms)
- Multi-axis CNC equipment
- Setup and changeovers, tool changes and offsets
- On-machine program edits
- Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce precision parts
- Load programs, tooling, fixtures, and raw material
- Adjust tool offsets and replace tools as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges for first-piece and in-process inspection
- Hold required tolerances and verify parts meet specifications
- Troubleshoot machining or quality issues and make minor edits at the control
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation
- Work independently once trained on jobs and equipment
We welcome a wide range of CNC backgrounds—from operators eager to grow into setups to seasoned setup machinists. Your compensation reflects your experience, setup capability, equipment proficiency, and overall skill set. Candidates with strong setup, troubleshooting, programming/editing, Swiss, Tsugami, or advanced machining experience may earn toward the top of the $20–$35/hour range.
If you have CNC machining experience and want a long-term role in Crestwood, apply and let’s discuss where your strengths fit best.
