Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual machining tools, including lathes, grinders, and milling machines, to produce precision metal parts.
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine accurate machining requirements.
  • Use precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators, to verify part quality.
  • Select and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures for efficient and accurate machining.
  • Perform machine setup procedures with a strong focus on precision and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts using GD&T standards to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.
 Requirements
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in manual machining using lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers, for quality control.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining concepts is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of EDM techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T standards effectively.
  • Skilled in tool selection, tooling setup, and machine calibration for precision manufacturing.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and conversions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of metal properties and machining techniques.
  • Experience using hand and power tools in a manual machining environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
