Job Description
You enjoy solving technical problems, but you also enjoy working with people. You're looking for a position where your skills are appreciated, your work environment is professional and clean, and your efforts directly enhance the lives of others.

If you're a HVAC Maintenance Technician who is tired of spending nights responding to 3 a.m. emergency service calls, navigating cramped crawl spaces, or moving from one job site to the next, this is an opportunity to use your expertise in a stable, rewarding, hospitality-driven environment.
Join our team at The Gables, where maintenance excellence and exceptional resident service goes hand in hand. Your technical expertise helps create a comfortable, safe, and welcoming home for our residents.
Why You'll Love This OpportunityBetter Work-Life Balance:
  • No commercial construction job sites.
  • No spending your day crawling through tight crawl spaces or working in unfinished spaces.
  • Predictable work environment in a beautiful, luxury community.
  • Rotating on-call responsibilities that are significantly different from the constant emergency demands often found in residential service industries.

Hospitality-Focused Culture:
  • Build genuine relationships with residents and team members.
  • Use your skills to improve residents' quality of life every day.
  • Work in a service-oriented environment where professionalism, respect, and customer satisfaction are highly valued.

Variety Without the Chaos:
  • HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and facility maintenance projects.
  • Unit renovations and community improvement projects.
  • Preventative maintenance programs that help reduce after-hours emergencies.

Required Qualifications:
  • HVAC Certification and Universal EPA Certification.
  • CPO Certification.
  • Advanced technical training in multiple disciplines including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, landscaping, or sprinkler systems.
  • Maintenance or mechanical experience.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience in senior living, hospitality, multifamily housing, healthcare, hotels, or similar service-focused environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service.
