Our client, a national leader in commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC, is hiring an HVAC/R Start-up Technician in Virginia Beach, VA.

Year-round work
Start up new supermarket parallel rack and individual refrigeration systems
Evacuate parallel racks after verifying pressure tests
Wire and program EMS systems (CPC, Novar, Danfoss)
Lead small projects like case and condenser changeouts
Support energy optimization work: retro-commissioning, EMS and leak detection upgrades, gas conversions
Help branches with problem stores and train junior techs and foremen
High school diploma/GED plus trade school coursework
5+ years of commercial refrigeration, especially parallel racks (CO2 a plus)
3+ years of supermarket EMS experience; EMS certification preferred
EPA Type I and II certification
Journeyman-level installation skills (refrigeration, electrical, plumbing)
Able to read blueprints and troubleshoot supermarket refrigeration
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Open to travel, overnights, and overtime
Full-time. Background check, MVR, and drug screen required.
