Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Monday – Friday | 37.5 Hours/Week | May Flex Between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Weekend/Holiday On-Call: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Pay Rate: $2,000 – $2,400/Week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, operate specialized imaging equipment, and ensure radiation safety and quality imaging.
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent recognized training.
Current ARRT or NMTCB certification.
Current New York State Department of Health license.
Demonstrated competency in nuclear medicine imaging procedures and technology.
Knowledge of radiation safety and radiation protection principles.
Ability to safely handle radiopharmaceuticals within scope of practice.
Strong patient-care, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Willingness to participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous hospital-based Nuclear Medicine experience.
SPECT/SPECT-CT experience.
Experience with various diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures.
Electronic medical records and radiology information system experience.
Nuclear medicine equipment quality control and troubleshooting experience.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare patients for procedures and explain examinations.
Verify patient identification, physician orders, and relevant clinical information.
Prepare, handle, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and regulations.
Operate gamma cameras, SPECT/SPECT-CT, and other nuclear medicine equipment as applicable.
Position patients appropriately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
Follow radiation safety and protection practices for patients, staff, and visitors.
Perform equipment quality-control procedures and report malfunctions.
Review images for technical quality and completeness.
Maintain accurate patient, examination, and radiation records.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow infection-control, patient-safety, regulatory, and departmental policies.
Maintain required competencies, certifications, and continuing education.
Participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotation.
