Manual Machinist

Location: Jacksonville, FL - Relocation Assistance could be available

Shift: 7am to 3:30pm (Mon-Fri); OT regularly available

Pay: $35-40/hr. (or more, depending on experience level)

Description:

• The Manual Machinist will operate, set up, and maintain manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment to produce and repair metal components to precise specifications.

Qualifications:

• Strong manual machining skills, including setup and operation of manual lathes, mills, and related equipment.
• Previous experience as a manual machinist in a job shop, repair, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions, including dimensions and tolerances.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Solid understanding of machining principles, materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and surface finishes.
• Experience with repair machining, fitting, and fabrication of custom or one-off parts is highly beneficial.
