NX NC Programmer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for determining the most efficient method of machining using efficient tool paths, techniques and tooling.
• Responsible for writing clear and thorough setup instructions on tool lists and setup sketches.
• Verify all programs written using Vericut to review for completeness and obvious errors (wrong geometry, tool crashes, etc.).
• Utilize defined standard tooling packages as much as possible on specified machining cells.
• Effectively communicate with up and downstream internal customers on any manufacturing or producibility issues that arise or are foreseen.
• Conform to all requirements of our Quality System and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related duties as needed.
• Accomplish strategic departmental and organizational goals by completing related duties as needed.

Skills

• 3+ years’ experience programming with NX.
• 3+ years’ experience 5-axis mill programming.
• Knowledge of lathe / mill-turn programming.
• 3+ years’ experience using Vericut verification software or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Mastercam is a plus.
• 3+ years’ experience as a hands-on machinist.
• Must have experience programming many different complex parts.
