Job Summary
Local company seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel trucks, buses, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools.
- Inspect engines, brakes, fuel systems, exhaust, and hydraulic systems.
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
- Perform oil changes, fluid checks, tire service, and preventive maintenance.
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
- Follow safety and environmental procedures.
- Communicate repair needs and job progress with supervisors and team members.
Requirements
- Diesel mechanic experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Able to work independently and pay attention to detail.
- Must have own tools.
