Pediatric Speech Therapist Job Overview
The Pediatric Speech Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations and treatment specifically tailored for pediatric outpatient care. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality therapy in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Shift Details- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- No weekends required
- Conduct detailed evaluations and assessments of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities in pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Utilize electronic medical records for documentation and tracking of patient progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Provide ongoing education and support to patients and their families regarding speech and language development.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in pediatric speech therapy.
- Required certifications include ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and North Dakota licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA is essential.
New hires will undergo training that includes EMR training (Epic), a general hospital orientation, and department-specific orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
Additional InformationClinicians will be required to badge in and out at the facility. The dress code for this position is business casual.
