CT Technologist Job Summary
The CT Technologist plays a vital role in patient care by performing various imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) technology. This position requires proficiency in multiple modalities and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Schedule- Day Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Rotating schedule includes 2 weekend shifts and 1 weekday shift (Monday - Friday)
- Weekend shifts: 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
- Weekday shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- One weekend per month and a minimum of 8 shifts during weekdays each month
- Perform CT scans and necessary imaging procedures.
- Utilize fluoroscopy and x-ray as required.
- Assist during surgical procedures in the operating room (OR).
- Participate in call rotations as needed.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the EPIC system.
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; previous experience may be considered.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as R.T. (R)(CT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT).
- State licensure as a Radiologic Tech (RT) is required.
- Advanced Certification in CT preferred in California; required in Oregon and Hawaii.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Fluoroscopy license required if operating fluoroscopy equipment.
- Venipuncture certification required for administering contrast materials.
- Experience with EPIC system is essential.
- Must be able to comply with the varying demands of the rotating schedule.
