Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience to perform diagnostic CT procedures in a hospital setting.

Details

  • Computed Tomography department within an acute care hospital
  • Day shift, Tues-Fri 1100-2030, 4x9 hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Rotating call and assigned holiday coverage required
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • ARRT(R) certification required, ARRT(CT) certification preferred
  • BLS (AHA) certification required, must not expire prior to start
  • Associate degree required
  • 1-2 years of CT experience and 1-2 years of healthcare setting experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Fluoroscopy certification preferred for Colorado-based roles
  • Radiation badge required, supplier-provided preferred
  • Proficiency in CT equipment operation, imaging techniques, and protocols
  • Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation
  • Ability to view, transfer, and manipulate electronic images
  • Understanding of sectional anatomy and positioning competency
  • Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and task prioritization skills

Additional Information

  • Perform CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes under radiologist or physician supervision
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
  • Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Administer contrast media per protocol and educate patients on contrast safety
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control practices
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
  • Coordinate care and communicate with other patient care providers
  • Report equipment failures and maintain QC program compliance
  • Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists as needed
  • Stay current with CT technology advancements through continuing education
  • Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
