Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU / Cardiac Care)

Contract | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Schedule Varies)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a highly specialized 20-bed Cardiac ICU unit serving patients undergoing open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
• Operate and monitor advanced specialty equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for critically ill cardiac patients
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to holiday scheduling expectations, including coverage for 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or Cardiac ICU experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with advanced cardiac devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and CRRT
• Background in caring for post-surgical open heart, vascular, or thoracic patients
