In this role, you will serve as an integral part of a patient-centered healthcare home, providing life-changing mental health and substance abuse support to individuals facing barriers to care. You will join a dynamic, collaborative team where you can make a tangible difference in your community every single day.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $74,000 – $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

  • Generous Time Off: 15 days of vacation per year to start (increases with tenure), 3 personal leave days, 6 sick leave days, and 7 paid holidays.

  • Continuing Education: Annual CEU stipend plus 3 paid days off for continuing education.

  • Professional Fee Coverage: Full reimbursement of Texas professional licensing fees and annual professional organization membership dues once established.

  • Student Loan Assistance: Direct access to external federal and state loan forgiveness programs (HRSA/NHSC).

  • Health & Financial Security: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-/long-term disability, and a 403(b) retirement savings plan.

Why Consider This Role?

  • Student Loan Repayment: Work in an FQHC environment eligible for federal and state student loan repayment programs (HRSA/NHSC).

  • World-Class Support: Dedicated guidance and support while you build your caseload.

  • Integrated Care Model: Thrive in a supportive group practice setting where you collaborate with integrated medical care teams and community partners while maintaining independent clinical judgment.

  • Broad Central Texas Reach: Choose from openings across vibrant communities including Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Bastrop, Taylor, Killeen, Hutto, Harker Heights, and Jonestown.

  • Flexible Care Delivery: Provide meaningful care through a balanced mix of in-person outpatient appointments and virtual telemedicine visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient-Centered Therapy: Provide individual therapy to patients ages 5 and up, tailoring treatment plans to support their unique recovery goals and psychosocial needs.

  • Diagnostic Assessment: Utilize the DSM-5-TR, comprehensive initial interviews, and clinical screenings to diagnose mental health and substance use conditions and construct effective care plans.

  • Collaborative Support: Assess patient strengths, barriers, and safety needs; interact with community partners, addiction recovery resources, and emergency services when higher levels of care are required.

  • Modern Practice: Efficiently document clinical notes and conduct telehealth sessions using robust Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted license in the State of Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrated experience working with patients experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

  • Scope of Practice: Comfort and willingness to work with clients across the lifespan (ages 5 and up).

  • Clinical Skills: Proficient in diagnostic assessment (DSM-5-TR), substance use treatment planning, crisis safety evaluation, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

  • Mission-Driven Mindset: A genuine passion for providing accessible, high-quality mental healthcare to underserved populations.
