Job Summary
The CT Technologist position is based in the healthcare facility setting. This role involves performing a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The individual will utilize expertise, initiative, and independent judgment to produce high-quality scans, ensuring patient safety and imaging accuracy.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating day and night shifts, Tuesday through Friday, from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with rotating call and holiday requirements.
  • Required Qualifications: ARRT (Certified in Computed Tomography), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, Associate degree, licensure in the state of practice as applicable, 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in operating CT equipment, understanding of imaging techniques and protocols, contrast administration, and electronic image viewing and transfer.
  • Recognizes emergent patient situations for appropriate response.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with effective communication and task prioritization skills.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Assists and instructs students and other radiology technologists on exam protocols and procedures.
  • Assists with contrast media administration and patient education regarding safety.
  • Keeps updated with advancements in CT technology through continuing education.
  • Preferred Qualifications: One to two years of experience in a hospital setting performing CT scans.
  • Additional Information: The role involves maintaining clinical competencies, adhering to radiation safety guidelines, ensuring quality image production, and following department protocols for patient care and documentation.
