Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a critical access hospital treating patients across outpatient, acute care, and SNF settings.

Details

  • Critical Access Hospital with 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
  • Level IV Trauma facility serving patients of all ages and diagnoses
  • Therapy department covers outpatient, inpatient, and SNF patients, including wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No on-call or weekend requirements
  • Clinician will float within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF as needed
  • May also float between sister facilities within the state
  • Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Active Alaska PT license required if applicable
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Pediatric and adolescent experience preferred
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings
  • Scrub color is flexible, business casual also accepted
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • RTO requests should be submitted upfront and are granted based on request
  • Not open to local candidates; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside a 50-mile radius
  • Facility provides housing and a rental car during the assignment
