Registered Nurse (RN) Role Overview
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. This role requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy and a focus on promoting wellness and preventing complications.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered nursing care and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document nursing care and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and prevention strategies.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health regulations and facility standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in nursing practice.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Previous nursing experience is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
The Registered Nurse may work in various settings, providing care to different patient populations. Flexibility to work in multiple locations and adapt to changing environments is essential.
