Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

  • Critical Access Hospital with Acute Care, Long Term Care, and Outpatient settings serving patients of all ages and diagnoses
  • Therapy department covers outpatient, inpatient, and SNF patients including wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties
  • Level IV Trauma facility with 46 acute care beds and 22 LTC beds
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Float coverage required across Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF units
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • May be required to float between sister facilities within the state

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Active AK state license required (license required if applicable)
  • Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with pediatrics and adolescents preferred but not required

Additional Information

  • Main responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of acute care, outpatient, and SNF patients across a range of diagnoses
  • Scrub color is flexible or business casual
  • Free parking provided on-site
  • Facility provides housing and a rental vehicle for the duration of the assignment
  • Housing accommodates only the traveler; pets are not allowed
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this role
  • Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
