The organization is seeking a qualified CT Technologist in radiology to join the team for a contracted assignment. This role involves coordinating and producing high-quality computerized tomography (CT) studies, assisting in CT-guided procedures, and ensuring patient safety and care. The position requires critical thinking, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and proficiency with imaging technology.
Job Details
- Position Description: CT Technologist with 2 years of experience required. This position involves performing quality CT examinations, coordinating protocols according to physician orders, and assisting in CT-guided procedures. The technologist must demonstrate and exercise critical thinking skills, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, venipuncture, and safe medication administration, specific to contrast media and adjunct medications. Responsibilities include operation of sophisticated imaging equipment, accurate documentation, and effective communication with patients of all ages, including high-risk and critically ill patients.
- Certifications: CA Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification, ARRT(R), BLS, Venipuncture Certification, radiology fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications listed above, graduation from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent experience, and 2 years of experience in radiology or acute care facility setting.
- Schedule: Nights, 10-hour shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Must be knowledgeable in cross-sectional anatomy and technical factors. Must demonstrate proficiency with PACS imaging systems and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements. The assignment includes working days, evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates are required to upload applicable certifications and licenses and provide two recent references within the last year.
