KCG Search is partnering with a growing precision manufacturing organization to hire an experienced HR Coordinator for its Newark, California facility.
This is a hands-on, highly visible HR role supporting employees and leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The HR Coordinator will serve as the primary onsite HR resource while partnering closely with corporate Human Resources.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being out on the floor, interacting with employees, supporting managers and keeping HR processes organized and moving. This is not a sit-behind-the-desk HR position.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the onsite point of contact for day-to-day employee HR questions and support
- Maintain a visible HR presence throughout the manufacturing facility and production floor
- Coordinate recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, production and administrative positions
- Support new-hire onboarding, orientation, employee records and offboarding
- Assist supervisors with attendance, performance documentation and routine employee-relations matters
- Review timecards and help resolve payroll, timekeeping and attendance discrepancies
- Coordinate employee status changes, approved pay changes and other HR documentation
- Support workers' compensation and workplace-injury documentation
- Track employee training, certifications and qualification requirements
- Assist with employee engagement, retention and workplace-culture initiatives
- Maintain confidential and accurate employee records
- Support California and federal HR compliance requirements
- Identify sensitive or higher-risk employee matters and escalate them appropriately to corporate HR
- Partner closely with site leadership and corporate HR on ongoing workforce needs
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of HR, HR administration, payroll, recruiting or related experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, timekeeping, attendance and employee documentation
- Working knowledge of California employment practices preferred
- Comfortable working directly with employees and supervisors in a production-floor environment
- Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information professionally
- Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Experience within aerospace, machining, precision manufacturing or another regulated production environment is especially valuable. Experience recruiting CNC machinists, programmers, inspectors, machine operators or other skilled manufacturing employees is also a plus.
