Job Description
This is a 6-8 month temporary assignment with the ability to transition to a full time hire. This assignment is full time hours (40/hrs per week).
The Organization
Our organization is a private, non-profit agency contracted with the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, to provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are one of the largest regional centers in California and have proudly served the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Antelope Valley since 1974. We serve individuals across the lifespan — from infants and toddlers, school age children, and transition-age youth, to adults and aging adults.
Supervision: Works under supervision of the Community Services supervisor and manager.
The Position and Job Summary
2 Office Assistant temp needed to assist with Social Recreation reimbursements.
Duties:
- Review POS to confirm matching proof of payment is provided
- Add to internal tracking
- Request vendor documents (DS 1890, DS 1891, W-9) and optional direct deposit enrollment (with voided check)
- Screen through OIG website
- Add/update SANDIS vendor number and subcodes in UFS
- Update vendor documents and package to submit to Accounting and save to vendor file
- Monitor incoming emails for follow-up and status inquiries
- Provide customer service to assist Case Management, parent/consumer (party being reimbursed), and Accounting to facilitate payment
- Other duties as assigned
2 Office Assistant temp needed to assist with Rate Reform duties.
Duties:
- Upload rate reform worksheets and rate letters to folder in Vendor Portal for NLA vendors
- Email rate reform worksheets and rate letters to OOA vendors
- Add to internal tracking
- Update VSN in SANDIS
- Save rate reform worksheets to vendor file
- Assist with follow-up for providers that have not received eligibility determination due to lack of data provided
- Other duties as assigned
Employment Standards/Education Requirements
High School Diploma required and two to four plus years of Office Assistant experience.
Skills and Abilities
Microsoft Office and related applications. Knowledge of general office functions and customer service skills. Ability to operate a computer and enter data accurately. Ability to speak and write in an organized and effective manner. Ability to write with excellent grammar. Ability to be detail oriented. Ability to multi-task.
Essential Requirements
A valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation, or acceptable substitute, are required for this position.
