Local Hazmat Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Hazmat Driver to transport materials throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas. The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license with the appropriate Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials according to established safety procedures.
• Complete required shipping papers, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition.
• Follow FMCSA, California, and company safety requirements.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and report accidents, spills, or violations immediately.
• Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations.
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle and work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Driver’s License appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
• Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement required.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to safely handle and transport hazardous materials in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and transportation regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Ability to safely enter and exit the vehicle and perform vehicle inspections.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required by the position.
