Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to support our client’s material handling and warehouse operations in Altavista, VA. This position is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks and lifting equipment to load, move, and position materials.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to gain additional experience in a warehouse or industrial environment while working on a 10-month W2 contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks and forklifts.
• Use lifting devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets to safely move materials.
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and positioning materials as needed.
• Follow established workplace safety procedures and operating guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and materials while operating machinery.
• Support general warehouse and material-handling activities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year of previous relevant experience.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, operating instructions, and workplace guidelines.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in an industrial environment.
