Medical Scribe

We are seeking an experienced Medical Scribe to support physicians during patient encounters and accurately document clinical information. The Medical Scribe will transcribe physician-dictated histories, physical examination findings, procedures, laboratory and radiographic results, patient education, diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, prescriptions, and pending orders.

Required:

• 6+ months of experience as a Medical Scribe
• Type 90+ WPM
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new applications quickly
• Strong written communication, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessment
• Ability to accurately transcribe physician encounters
• Ability to prepare and edit scribed documents for physician review and signature
• High school diploma or GED required
• Flu shot

Preferred:

• College education in a related area of study
• Experience with CS-Link/EPIC
