Project Manager

 Position Summary:

Berkel & Company Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage projects specializing in deep foundations and earth retention systems, including:

Sheeting and Shoring:

·         Soldier pile and lagging walls

·         Sheet pile walls

·         Tiebacks

·         Shotcrete and soil nail walls

·         Internally braced walls

Deep Foundations:

·         Micropiles

·         Driven bearing piles

·         Pressure grouting

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Estimating, design, and project management for the installation of deep foundation systems throughout the Midwest, specifically Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia.

·         Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals and submittals.

·         Budget monitoring and trend tracking

·         Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of assigned projects

·         Monitor jobs for compliance on applicable codes, engineering practices, and company standards

·         Ensure effective communication and production on assigned projects between all crew members and the general contractor

·         Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolving client, engineering, and project management issues

·         Monthly project status reports and change orders

·         Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.

Job Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
