Warehouse Associate (Aurora)

Schedule:

Monday through Friday — 9:00 AM — 5:00 PM

Job Summary:

The Warehouse General Laborer Associate is responsible for completing the day-to-day general laborer functions in warehouse and yard. This position is required to work under the administration of the General Manager and efficiently conduct all duties and responsibilities assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Empty trash bins in the warehouse before end Of shift.
• Pick up Scrap wood from warehouse floor and yard and dispose in designated bins.
• Pick up scrap steel bands from the warehouse floor and yard and dispose in designated bins.
• Clean and organize warehouse mezzanine level.
• Warehouse Pedestrian Safety Walkway — work with General Manager to create a safe designated pedestrian walkway.
• Prepare materials for transport by banding, wrapping, labeling, tagging and loading them onto pallets.
• Safety and Compliance — Ensure strict adherence to the ANCO Safety Program by following safety protocols and standards within the warehouse environment to prevent accidents and ensure proper handling of steel materials. A strong commitment to safety is crucial due to the dangerous nature of heavy equipment and materials. This includes participating in safety meetings and consistently following established procedures.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• (PPE) steel-toed boots with metatarsals and hard hat must be always worn while in warehouse.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Report any discrepancies. Notify manager of problems that are not solvable by yourself.
• Effective communication and cooperation with managers and coworkers
• Any other warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older for this position
• High school diploma, or a GED equivalent certificate from a certified institution, preferred.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in English
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse, especially in the metal or steel industry, is preferred.
