Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist location unspecified. This role involves assisting physicians with obtaining digital radiographic images of the heart and related structures. The technologist will operate radiographic equipment, ensure patient safety, and maintain equipment and documentation standards in a cardiac catheterization setting.

Job Details

  • Certification in Radiation Therapy or Radiology through ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Science program, special procedures program, accredited school of professional nursing, or completion of a cardiac catheterization training course.
  • No minimum years of experience required; 0 years minimum.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of procedures and techniques including hemodynamics, diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral procedures.
  • Prepares daily room and supplies, performs routine equipment maintenance, and documents patient data and procedural information accurately.
  • Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains cardiac cath lab equipment, including devices such as IVUS, ICE, HeartLab, and Apollo Reporting.
  • Ensures all patient care and technical procedures comply with safety and regulatory standards, including radiation safety and sterile techniques.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and adapt to case volume demands to deliver optimal patient care.
  • Responsible for data collection, inventory management, and verification of patient charges.
  • Previous experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred.
  • Candidates must have previous experience in one of the following specialties: Cardiac Cath Specialist, Cardiovascular Specialist, Diagnostic Cath Specialist, Interventional Cath Specialist, or Peripheral Diagnostic/Interventional Specialist.
