Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures at a short-term acute care hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 325 staffed beds in Cardiac Cath Services
- Performs diagnostic procedures, PCI (stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rotablator, Impella, IABP, CTO)
- Performs Structural Heart procedures (TAVR, Balloon Valvuloplasty, Watchman)
- Performs Electrophysiology procedures (EPS, Afib/Flutter ablations, BIV and pacemaker implants)
- Uses Epic charting system
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required one day per week plus one weekend every 5-6 weeks
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab/EP experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required (not both)
- WA RT or CIS license required (not both) - license required if applicable
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Rhythm interpretation skills preferred
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, room circulating, and sterile field maintenance
- Experience with cardiac stent placement, left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, Impella insertion, rotablator atherectomy, and temporary pacemaker preferred
- Experience with TAVR and Watchman procedures preferred
- Experience with electrophysiology studies including arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, ablation, and AICD insertion/programming preferred
- Must provide full SSN and DOB for compliance purposes
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50 mile radius
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be granted
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent staff, traveler, or registry/per-diem
- Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities and refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
