Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for cardiac surgery cases including CABGs, aortic/mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• Maintain a 1:2 staffing ratio within the cardiovascular operating room environment
• Complete orientation during the first week on 5x8-hour shifts (Mon–Fri); additional orientation, if required, transitions to 12-hour shifts
• Float to other OR services (General, Urology, ENT, etc.) as needed when cardiac volume is low, averaging approximately once per week
• Fulfill on-call requirements of 4 call shifts per 13-week contract; days and hours vary
• Document accurately using Epic electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience with demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases
• Experience with CABGs, aortic/mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• PA Fingerprints (Childline) required and must be completed within 1 week of contract signing; results may take 2–4 weeks to process
• Valid references and copies of certifications required at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with vascular/thoracic surgery including EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, and open AAA procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience; however, first-time travelers with appropriate CVOR experience are welcome to apply
