Job Description
QA Automation Engineer – .NET / Playwright / API Testing
Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site
Contract: Contract position with potential extensions based on budget availability
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer / Quality Engineer to support testing of complex web, API, database, and cloud-native applications.
This position is heavily focused on automated testing, .NET/C# testing, UI automation, React testing, API automation, AWS-based applications, accessibility testing, database validation, and CI/CD integration.
Candidates should review the required experience carefully before applying. This is not primarily a manual QA role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing.
- Perform testing and debugging of new and existing application software.
- Design and automate API testing using .NET, C#, and XUnit, with manual API validation using Postman.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end UI automation using Playwright or similar modern automation tools.
- Test applications built with React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and C#.
- Perform unit testing of React applications using React Testing Library, Jest, or comparable tools.
- Perform accessibility testing using ANDI, axe DevTools, or similar accessibility-testing tools.
- Test applications that are native to the cloud and deployed in AWS environments.
- Validate applications and integrations using AWS services, including AWS Lambda.
- Perform database testing and validation involving PostgreSQL or similar relational database platforms.
- Use Git or comparable version-control systems as part of the software development and testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers and Platform Engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
- Develop and evolve test plans for complex applications.
- Deconstruct technical solutions into tests that optimize coverage and risk.
- Build reliable and maintainable automated test coverage.
- Extend existing test automation frameworks to support new functionality.
- Continuously improve testing processes, automation methodology, reliability, and overall product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional experience as a Quality Engineer, QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or similar role.
Candidates must have the following experience:
- 4+ years of current experience with .NET unit-testing frameworks
- 4+ years of current experience with end-to-end functional UI automation using Playwright or similar tools
- 4+ years of current experience testing React applications
- 4+ years of unit-testing experience using React Testing Library, Jest, or similar tools
- 4+ years of accessibility testing experience using ANDI, axe DevTools, or similar tools
- 4+ years of experience testing C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, and HTML applications
- 4+ years of API testing and API automation using .NET and C#
- 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or similar database systems
- 4+ years of experience working with Git or similar version-control systems
- 2+ years of current experience testing applications native to AWS cloud environments
- 2+ years of experience with AWS services, including AWS Lambda
Desired Experience
- Experience with Court Case Management Systems
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Postman for API testing
- Experience extending or maintaining enterprise test-automation frameworks
- Experience with risk-based test design and complex application test planning
