Assistant Manager – DeWitt Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

We’re a locally owned DQ Grill & Chill looking for a reliable Assistant Manager to help run daily operations and lead the team.

You’ll work alongside the owner and General Manager to keep the restaurant running smoothly: quality food, fast friendly service, a clean store, and a crew that actually wants to show up.

What you’ll do

•  Run shifts as the person in charge (open, close, peak times)

•  Supervise and coach crew members and shift leads

•  Maintain food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and brand standards

•  Handle cash, deposits, inventory counts, and basic ordering

•  Help with hiring, onboarding, training, and weekly scheduling

•  Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally

•  Support labor and food-cost control

•  Step in wherever needed — grill, treat, drive-thru, or dining room

What we’re looking for

•  Prior restaurant or QSR leadership experience preferred (shift lead or assistant manager)

•  High school diploma or equivalent

•  Strong work ethic, good communication, and a calm attitude when it’s busy

•  Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

•  Food safety knowledge (ServSafe a plus)

•  Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
