Crane Operator (Civil Construction)

We are currently looking for a Crane Operator in Hillsborough, NJ. A well-established civil construction company is looking for experienced, dedicated, and safety-focused individuals to join their team and support heavy civil construction projects while earning a highly competitive compensation package.

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00am - 5:00pm

Competitive Compensation Offered!

• $61.63/hr.
• $42.45/hr. Fringe Benefit
• $104.08/hr. Total Package Rate

Crane Operator Responsibilities:

• Safely operate various types of cranes to lift, move, position, and place heavy materials, equipment, and structural components.
• Perform crane operations in support of heavy civil construction projects while following lift plans, site requirements, and established safety procedures.
• Work closely with riggers, signalpersons, laborers, and project supervision to safely and efficiently complete lifting operations.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and monitor crane equipment, load capacities, rigging, and jobsite conditions.
• Maintain clear communication with the ground crew and immediately report equipment issues, hazards, or unsafe conditions.

Crane Operator Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating cranes in a construction or heavy civil environment.
• Knowledge of safe crane operation, load handling, rigging, and signaling procedures.
• Ability to safely assess loads, equipment capacity, site conditions, and potential hazards.
• Strong hand-eye coordination, depth perception, attention to detail, and mechanical awareness.
• Ability to follow lift plans, safety procedures, and instructions accurately.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around active construction equipment.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
