Job Description
Executive Assistant to CEO
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | 5 Days Onsite
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm
A high-growth education organization in New York City is seeking a sharp, highly organized, and adaptable Executive Assistant to support its CEO/Founder. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility position for someone who thrives in a demanding environment and can anticipate needs, shift priorities quickly, and keep a busy executive organized.
The position will initially begin as a 3–4 week temporary assignment, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent role if there is a strong mutual fit.
What You'll Do
- Manage a complex and constantly evolving executive calendar, including meetings, appointments, and scheduling changes
- Coordinate travel, logistics, and day-to-day priorities for the CEO
- Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve issues
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the executive
- Track follow-ups, action items, and important deadlines
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Respond quickly to last-minute changes and time-sensitive requests
- Provide additional administrative and project support as needed
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, polished, and confident interacting with senior stakeholders
- Ability to work with urgency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Proactive mindset and ability to anticipate needs rather than wait for direction
- Comfortable working in a high-energy environment where priorities can change quickly
- Strong judgment, discretion, and problem-solving abilities
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems
Both early-career candidates with exceptional organizational skills and executive presence and experienced Executive Assistants are encouraged to apply.
Schedule & Flexibility
This is not a traditional 9-to-5 position. The Executive Assistant's schedule will closely follow the CEO's needs, which may include early mornings, evenings, and last-minute schedule changes. Candidates should be comfortable with this level of flexibility.
The position is onsite in New York City five days per week.
Compensation
$31-32/hr
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Employment-based immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
