Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead daily manufacturing and fabrication operations
• Coordinate production workflow across fabrication, welding, forming, and assembly departments
• Manage production schedules and operational priorities
• Ensure customer delivery schedules are achieved
• Optimize labor utilization, machine capacity, and operational efficiency
• Monitor operational performance and production KPIs
• Drive accountability throughout production operations Fabrication & Welding Oversight
• Oversee structural steel fabrication and associated activities
• Ensure operations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and procedures
• Coordinate fabrication sequencing and production flow
• Support implementation of welding procedures and quality controls
• Ensure operational compliance with industry standards Quality & Compliance
• Support the company’s Quality Management System
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance regarding inspections, hold points, and corrective actions
• Ensure traceability and process controls are maintained throughout production
• Monitor and reduce rework, scrap, and operational nonconformities
• Promote operational discipline and standardization Leadership & Workforce Development
• Supervise production supervisors, foremen, and shop personnel
• Coach and mentor operational employees
• Support leadership development and workforce training initiatives
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Qualifications Required Experience:
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing or structural steel fabrication operations
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and CNC machine operations
• Minimum 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience managing fabrication, welding, and production personnel
• Experience with production scheduling and manufacturing workflow management
Preferred Experience:
• Structural steel fabrication industry experience
• ERP/MRP system experience
• Experience supporting ISO-based quality systems
