Responsibilities

The Field Training Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering training programs for field staff within the construction materials testing practice. This role ensures technicians are properly trained, certified, and capable of executing work safely and in accordance with company standards. The Field Training Supervisor collaborates with Field Leadership to build technical competency across the organization while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and delivers training programs for field staff
  • Conducts on-site training for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff
  • Creates and maintains training materials, procedures, and documentation
  • Schedules and coordinates individual and group training sessions
  • Develops and implements onboarding programs for new field employees
  • Evaluates training effectiveness and recommends improvements
  • Communicates training opportunities and requirements to field staff
  • Maintains training schedules, records, and documentation
  • Ensures training materials are current and aligned with company standards
  • Maintains training equipment and ensures readiness for training sessions
  • Collaborates with Field Services Manager and Team Leaders to identify training needs
  • Supports technical skill development and certification progression
  • Assists with hiring and onboarding activities as needed
  • Performs other training and workforce development duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of related experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Maintain basic certifications and any advanced certifications necessary for the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy
  • If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
  • Experience training or mentoring field staff
  • Certifications in construction materials testing or specialty inspection disciplines
  • Experience developing training materials or programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to train, coach, and motivate others
  • Understanding of construction materials testing standards and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and adapt programs
  • Creative problem-solving and instructional design capability
  • Understanding of company operations and field workflows

  • The following US Military ranks would qualify for this position:
    • E-5
