How you make a difference

 

The Account Manager serves as the primary client liaison and single point of contact for assigned Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) accounts. This role provides oversight of day-to-day operational performance, client satisfaction, and governance activities while ensuring contractual obligations and service level expectations are consistently achieved. The position coordinates activities across scheduling, referral management, provider network operations, medical records, claims, and reporting functions to support effective healthcare delivery. The Account Manager builds strong relationships with clients, providers, and internal teams while driving operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the primary client liaison and point of contact for assigned FBOP institutions.
  • Coordinate operational activities across Scheduling, Network Development, Operations, Medical Records, Claims, and other internal departments.
  • Oversee the referral lifecycle, appointment scheduling, provider communication, and medical records coordination to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
  • Monitor service levels, operational performance metrics, referral activity, and key performance indicators while identifying and addressing operational issues.
  • Lead operational meetings, client reviews, reporting activities, process improvement initiatives, and implementation of new programs and workflow enhancements.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

 

Education

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in healthcare scheduling, medical records, referral coordination, medical office administration, or a related healthcare support role.
  • Experience working with electronic scheduling systems, EMRs, or healthcare operational software preferred.
  • Experience in correctional healthcare or managed care is preferred but not required.
